# publishObjectType

Publish the active DRAFT, making schema changes live.

Applies the draft snapshot to the live object type, assigns the next version number, and
promotes the DRAFT version row to PUBLISHED status. **State transitions:**

- **NEVER\_PUBLISHED** → `publishStatus` flips to `PUBLISHED`; the type becomes discoverable
  and instances can be created.
