## Kandji: Permissions and setup

### Permissions

To connect your Atomicwork and Kandji accounts, you need:

- **Kandji admin access**: You need access to the Settings page in Kandji.

### Setup

- As a Kandji admin, navigate to **Settings > Access > API token** in Kandjiand generate a token. Make sure to copy it into a notepad and name it clearly so its use is obvious to other Kandji admins.

- As an Atomicwork admin, navigate to **Settings > App Store > Kandji** in the Atomicwork portal and click on **Connect**.
- Copy the API token and URL from Kandji into the Atomicwork connection page.
- Click on **Connect**.

#### Understand asset sync

When asset sync is enabled for Kandji, Atomicwork automatically ingests the full set of attributes exposed by Kandji. The exact attributes may vary, and can include device hardware, OS and compliance state, enrollment status, last check-in, installed software, network configuration, and user assignment.

Admins do not need to manually select Kandji fields or map remote Kandji fields to Atomicwork attributes.
